A big sold his toys to buy bitcoin at 11 and he’s a millionaire now

He is Dadvan Yousuf, 21, the youngest self-made millionaire in Switzerland who has launched his own digital cryptocurrency.

At 11 he was already researching about banks and joined forums where bitcoin was discussed. His grandma’s illness made him sad and pushed him to look for ways to help at that tender age. And then he ran into bitcoin.

“I was a little bit of a tech guy so I started googling about banks,” he said. “That was the first time I read about Bitcoin. People were talking about the next big thing that is going to change the world.”

“I had no idea what bitcoin was- nobody knew back in the day.

“The first thing I did was go to a kiosk and ask for bitcoins – the woman at the counter didn’t even know what bitcoin was.

“I told my father I wanted to buy Bitcoin and he thought I was joking.

“He told me ‘Are you stupid, you want to use real money to buy game money?’”

“I had no idea what a wallet was, how it all works – I started to think I made the biggest mistake in my life and that my father was right,” he recalls.

He didn’t stop there. A year later or so, he had a deal that gave him 1000 Bitcoins at $13.53 a piece for €11,200.

Down the line, Ethereum came in and in 2016, he invested in it buying 16,000 ETH for €134 000.
